Scott graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration and completed his Chartered Accountant designation through the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. Scott is a licensed public accountant in the Province of Ontario.
Since completing his designation, Scott has focused on providing services to owner managed businesses, professionals, and not-for-profit organizations. He enjoys working with business owners to help them achieve their goals and objectives. With strong personal tax and corporate tax skills as well as accounting, audit and business advisory skills, Scott is able to assist clients across many different industries.
Scott joins Bates CPA from a senior management position with a medium sized firm, Hendry Warren LLP, in Ottawa. In January 2018, he returned back to the GTA and joins Bates CPAs growing accounting practice.
Outside of the office, Scott has used his expertise in volunteering in the community. Most recently, he sat as a volunteer audit committee member for Roger Neilson House – a charity providing children’s pediatric care services. When Scott isn’t working, you can find him on the rink playing hockey, hitting the slopes or relaxing at the lake with friends and family.
